Reboot Your Trade Training

TAFE Queensland is delivering an exclusive program to provide funded training support to critical trade apprentices with cancelled apprenticeship contracts and link them with new employers.

TAFE Queensland's Reboot Your Trade Training program provides funded training support to critical trade apprentices with cancelled apprenticeship contracts and link them with new employers.

Apprentices who have lost or left employment, or had their apprenticeship contract cancelled for any reason in the previous 36 months may apply to continue apprenticeship training at TAFE Queensland and find a new employer with assistance from this program.

The program aims to support cancelled apprentices within the electrical, plumbing, construction, engineering, refrigeration, light automotive and heavy automotive trade industries.

Following the success of the pilot program, a statewide rollout is planned. Program delivery has commenced in Greater Brisbane and is currently available to eligible participants. Future expansion phases will extend delivery to additional regions across Queensland, with North Queensland anticipated to be included by mid-2027.

Program places are limited, and delivery locations will continue to increase as part of the staged rollout across the state.

As the staged rollout progresses, apprentices are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to receive program updates, including information on upcoming delivery locations, availability, and key milestones.

Improved Completions is a joint initiative between the Australian Government and Queensland Government.

Eligibility rules apply to this pilot program.
